Some Randomness

Here are some random pics.  Liv wants to be anywhere you don't want her to be.

Like trying to eat the Legos.
She looks at me like, "Um, it'll be fine, Mom."

Cam is finally feeling all the way better.  He has recovered from his random virus and his steROID rage.

But here are some pics when he was not feeling so good last week and I asked him to "smile pretty".

Jace made a store in his room last week.  He was entertained for hours, so I was thrilled.  I even went in to shop a couple of time (like whenever he started getting tired of it muahaha)

Some of his prices were pretty expensive.

Also I have been having a lot of fun with mine and Emily's (me and Emily's, Emily's and mine?) new blog.  I feel like a techno savvy guru.  Although really all I do is google exactly the question I have.  And there are hundreds of answers from people who've already done it.  So yay for them putting all their how to's out there.

Also today was an AWESOME Saturday.  Brice finally didn't have to work for the first time since Christmas, and he took the boys basically all day.  First grocery shopping (have I mentioned that he does the grocery shopping?  Pretty impressive I think) and then to Granny's where they played outside all day in this finally-feels-like-spring weather.

Which meant Liv and I hung out at home and I cleaned the whole house, INCLUDING doing all the laundry AND putting it all away.  Which happens like next to never.

And the boys were so tired from playing hard all day that they went to bed at 6:30 and fell asleep instantly.  And then Liv went to bed.  And now- FREEDOM!!

The only thing that would have made this day just a tad better is if Vampire Diaries had been new, because I got all set up to watch it only to discover there was not a new one this week.

So now I'm doing this instead.

And also I made this:

for the boys room, but I think I'm actually gonna use this:

Also those are on the other blog HERE

You can go there and pin them.

Also be prepared for me to always be telling you to do that.

Livvy's favorite spot

If Livvy is missing I can usually find her in her favorite spot.  (or in the bathroom which is probably her real favorite spot but not so much mine)

She loves to stand on her wooden chair and look out her window.

And in the morning when she does it, the light is golden and so pretty.   She looks so sweet and peaceful, I think.

I was so happy with the pictures I got of her this morning.  Like so happy.

Because finally, finally they were pictures that represented EXACTLY what I was really seeing.  Like the peaceful golden color and everything.  Well, not the back and white ones.  But I'm loving black and white right now.

I usually have my camera on manual mode, so sometimes I know what I'm doing and get the pictures I want, sometimes I get lucky and get the pictures I want, and sometimes I screw up.  And this morning Livvy actually stayed at her window long enough for me to fiddle with my camera settings to get exactly the kind of pictures I've been wanting to get of her in her favorite spot.

So I feel like it was a camera victory for me this morning.

So my Monday is actually starting off pretty good.  Not like the picture here.  :)

Just a few pics from the snow we got last weekend that kept Jace out of school for three days. Like two inches of snow.

The boys attempted snow balls.  And throwing them.  They mostly ended with snow puffs flying everywhere.

I never did invest in proper snow gear this winter.  Every time it snowed I'd think, hmmmmmmm I should get them some real snow gear.  Nah, this will be the last snow.

And I was wrong every time.

But this time when I thought it I better not be wrong.  Because it's March.  In Kentucky.  Come on now.

Look at those poor pathetic not-water-proof gloves.

Also look at our little little snow guy.  Jace thought dog food features were a good fit.  And you can't tell but he has a tiny icicle nose.

And now for a CA-RAZY announcement.  Emily (who most know is my sister in law) and I decided to start our own blog.  Like one for lots of people to look at.

Because we are both avid blog stalkers.

And we always say, we could start a fancy blog.

We should start blog.

You should do a blog.

No, YOU should do a blog.

And then, finally, we got tired of saying what we should do and decided to just DO IT.

And also we needed each other to help us both be brave.  Because the people out there on the Internet are sometimes scary.  And mean.

So here is the link

I know there are like ten of you who read this blog and you are all my friends/family.  So you are basically obligated to go to the other blog and start following it.  And leaving comments.  And telling your other friends that it is cool and making them go there.

Okay?

Hard Questions

Dear Jace,

You have been asking me such deep questions lately.

Is this my first time on this earth?
What happens when we die?
What is it like when we die?
When will we come back to our body?
Are you getting old, Mom?  Like really old?
Will I see you when I die?

Sometimes I don't know how to answer these questions.  I don't know how to answer them in a way to make a five year old understand.  I don't know how to answer them to make you feel safe and love and peace.  And I hate that I don't know the answers to all of these questions.  That I can't tell you exactly what will happen when we die.  And that when I tell you not to think about it, I can still see your little mind churning behind those bright eyes.

But I can tell you this.

Because the Savior died and lives again, we will live again.  And because of the gospel of Jesus Christ, we have been sealed as a family forever.  So you will be mine forever.  And you can make choices in your life so that one day, when your own child looks up at you and asks these hard questions, you can hug him and smile and tell him, "No matter what happens, you will be mine forever."

Love, Mom

My Boogery Mess

Miss Liv has been such a boogery mess.  But even so she is still adorable. I think.

She has had a lot of trouble sleeping since she can't suck her thumb and breathe through the boogers at the same time.  On Monday night she ended up hanging out with Brice and me on our bed watching TV until she finally passed out exhausted at around 10:00.  She was basically taking up the entire bed.

Grandma bought Livvy a new rug for her room for Christmas.  And it was finally in stock and we ordered it and it came and we love it.
I think it brightens up the room a lot by hiding some of the ugly black carpet.  Seriously, black carpet?  How dreary is that.  And now I feel some motivation to actually decorate her room some and make it more girly.

Except for I don't think I want to paint it.  I'm so tired of painting rooms.  And maybe we can move out of this house soon.  So I'll just live with the light blue paint.  But I might try and peel some of the stickers off the wall.  We'll see.

I keep checking her molars out but they still all have a lot of skin to break through.  Poor baby.

Tent

Snow day in March.

What to do, what to do?  I'm so very bored with taking pictures inside.

But today the boys built a tent.  Something different than the usual snow day sitting-around-seeing-how-crazy-they-can-drive-me.

Today Liv is winning the driving-me-crazy game.  But I can't really be mad at her because she is so boogery and miserable.

She is a mess.
