Say Geronimo

One of the kids favorite things to do is put a pile of blankets and pillows on the floor and jump off the bunk bed.  Probably not the safest thing to do.  I think I can remember doing that with my brothers when we were little.  And then one time Randall jumped off and went flying off the pillows and rammed his head against the corner of a dresser or something.  And there was a huge knot on his head, and I'm pretty sure my madre was not too pleased with us.

But there were no injuries when the kids did this the other day.  And I allowed it.  Because I sometimes I want to be a fun mom.

Lonely bath

Olivia has decided that showers are the thing for her now.  I have mixed feelings about this.  I thought they would be easier.  And they kind of are, in that the bathtub doesn't get filthy dirty with how filthy dirty Liv is.

But washing her hair while she's taking a shower has proven to be quite annoying and a bit of a challenge.  But she is insistent upon taking showers.  So I'm trying to let her.

I thought maybe Annalise would be sad to have Liv move on from the bath stage.  Especially when I said, "Okay, let's go take a bath," and she turned to Liv and said, "Bath, Issy!"  I explained that she would get to take a bath all by herself.

And she was just fine with that :)

In other news, Jace is reading the sixth Harry Potter book, so I decided to read through the sixth and seventh books again for myself.  And even though I've read them at least twice before and I think listened to them once, I found that I still couldn't put them down.  Brice was whiny about his wife who loved Harry Potter more than him, and I stayed up way too late reading.

That's how you know Harry Potter is one of the best series of books ever.

Little Power Ranger

I peeked in on Leesie and she was being a cute little Power Ranger.

Also do you notice the pictures with her ear piercing holes being empty?  Little stinker.  She had just taken off her earrings again.

Cute little farmers tan

Cam was playing in his room with his Legos, so I went to take some pictures of him and noticed he has the cutest little farmers tan.  I'm sure it will even out as the summer goes on.  But it's pretty cute.

He's pretty cute.  And also I can't believe he's basically a second grader now.  Where are my babies going??!!!

Trampoline and water of course

It's not officially summer until we christen the trampoline with water for the first time of the season.  It was as glorious as ever :)  There was only minor fighting over who got to whole the hose.

And Annalise was pretty smart to stay clear of the trampoline.  She picked flowers instead.  Also I've gotten her some cheapo hoop earrings because she keeps pulling out ALL her other earrings.   Little stinker.  But she can't get these hoops out.  But the downside is, she doesn't like to sleep with them, and they're super cheap so I'm worried they'll hurt her ears if I leave them in too long.  So I take them out for naps and bedtime and then sometimes forget to put them back in.  Here's hoping her holes don't close up!!
