Jace had his two week appointment on Tuesday, although he was really two weeks last Friday. He's gained 13 ounces from his birth weight, so now he weighs 7 lbs 14 ounces. He also has already grown 2 inches, putting him at 21 and 1/4 inches. The doctor said he must be a good eater. Which he is. A good eater and a really good pooper. It seems like he poops at least 15 times a day, maybe more (I suppose I could be exaggerating, but I'm not really sure because it seems like I change a poopy diaper almost every hour). He's also already really stubborn about not falling asleep when he doesn't want to. He will force those little eyes to stay open, even when I know he is exhausted. His eyes get all red and he gets very cranky but he will just not close those little eyes. But he is a good sleeper during the night. He wakes up at around 2:30 or 3:00 and then again at 6:30 or 7:00, almost like clockwork every night. He eats and then he goes right back to sleep. We're pretty happy about that.

Jace is two weeks old today! Just two weeks and already a little stinker. . . For the past two days he has refused to take naps during the day longer than twenty minutes. . . unless I'm holding him. How did he get so spoiled already? I just laid him down to try and write this and I can already hear him squirming around, while just moments ago he slept soundly in my arms. In fact, the bottom picture is of how soundly he was asleep in my arms. Apparently that is a more comfortable position than his cushy bassinet. Enjoy the pictures! I'm also including some of poor little Andy. You can see he is starving for attention. He just doesn't know what to think of the new little thing that wakes him up every night.
