Baby Stalker

Sometimes when she sleeps I like to stalk her.  And creep around her and take pictures.  Because babies are just so sweet all the time, but especially when they're sleeping.  And little miss Annalise likes to sleep swaddled loosely with one arm sticking out.  Hey, whatever works, little girl. 

Cam gets sand in his eye

Cam always gets sand in his eyes.  If there is sand anywhere near him, you can bet he'll get it in his eyes.

Emily and her gang are here so we've been having lots of cousin fun over at Granny and Poppy's.  And they have a sand pile.  Woohoo!  So much fun.  Until you get some sand in your eye.  

Of course he was the only one to do that.

Anyway, I sent him over to the super fun and cool shower that was installed to keep the kids clean before entering the pool.  "Go let it wash your eye off," I said.  And you can see Lucas was more than happy to be the one to pull the water lever.  Probably because he knew, just like I knew, the water would be cold and the Cam Spam would have a bit of a shock.

Brrrr!

P.S.  Cam is with Granny and Poppy, Liv is napping, Annalise is napping, and Jace is playing Minecraft.  I'm like super mom right now.  I'm plowing through organizing pictures and folding and putting away laundry as it gets dried.  I wonder how long this magic spell will last. . . probably only like one more minute since I've mentioned it, called it out by name, and tempted it to be ruined. . . we shall see. . .

Brotherly snuggles

How sweet are these brothers?  It's nice for me to see they have a sweet side.  Because mostly I just get to see their whining, crazy, yelling, jumping, fighting, farting, pushing, shoving, biting, wild eyed, can't sit still, insane side.

But look!  They can sit and be quiet and still and talk baby and hold their little sister and be so gentle.  Ahhh.  So sweet. 

Blessing day

We blessed Annalise on the 28th.  My dad came up to pick up Grandma so we blessed her that Sunday.  I feel so blessed that all of our kids have been able to have both grandfathers in the blessing circle.  Thanks for driving all the way out here, Dad!

Then after the blessing we took some pictures and then we had to say goodbye to Grandma and Grandpa.   That was a sad thing for sure.  Goodbye to the extra hands and the official baby holder.  And the dinner maker.  And the dish washer.  

Having my mom here for so long was such a huge help and it was SO nice.  Thanks for coming and staying so long with us, Grandma!

By the time we were done taking pictures I felt pretty much just like Kimi.  Only I tried to hold it together a little more. . . I kind of succeeded.

Newborn Pictures

I attempted some newborn pictures of little Lise.  Just some simple ones because those are easier than attempting to get her to keep her hand on her chin and all that very cute but seemingly impossible stuff you see from professional newborn picture takers.  They have some definite skills that is for sure.

Also Livvy tried to help me by taking pictures with my phone.  Mostly she just messed up all my apps and icons.  But that's okay.

Little baby feet. . . . so wrinkly and cute.

These first few with her eyes open were taken about a week before the ones with her sleeping.  So she still looks a little yellowish from jaundice.

In the one above she looks just like Daddy.  I think.

Also she likes to eat her hand when she doesnt have her binki.  But that doesn't last very long and she gets really angry real quick that her hand isn't as good as her binki.  Or food.

I just love her squishy little face so much.

Then I thought, hey, I guess I could put a bow or something on her.  These were kind of impromptu pictures.  And this was the first bow I could find.  And she stayed asleep so I just kept taking pictures.

Also, my mom left last Sunday.  We miss her.  And I'm tired.

Also also, Emily is here visiting!  We are having a nonstop fun party.  But when the day is over and the party is done. . . well I'm pretty tired.

Helping Grandma

This little girl has had quite the adjustment since we've been home from the hospital.  I still think it's crazy how your baby is your baby and seems so small. . . until you bring home a newborn.  Then suddenly the baby is like a giant child.  I remember thinking the same thing when I brought Liv home.  Cam suddenly seemed like a grown up.

It's been soooooo nice having Grandma here to help 24/7.  She and Livvy have quite the adventures together.  Like doing dishes.  And splashing fights while Liv is taking a bath.  Liv is sharing a room with Grandma, too,  

Brice and I always have called Liv "baby girl" and "little girl" and now when we say those things in reference to Annalise, Liv will say, " ME?"  

Maybe we need to call Annalise "little sister".  

So while I was in the hospital Brice texted me and informed me (he stayed home with the kids at night and my mom stayed with me) that Liv had stuck a bead up her nose.  Luckily he was able to get her to blow it out and they didn't have to make a trip to the ER to get it out.  She stuck a battle ship piece up her nose once. . . I couldn't get it out and couldn't get her to blow it out, so we headed to the ER.  By the time we got there though she had had a few sneezing fits (because I'm sure having a battle ship piece up your nose is pretty irritating) and it had traveled down to where I could reach it and pull it out.  Anyway, I digress.

Also since we've been home she's found scissors and shredded Cam's fitted sheet on his bed.  Lovely.

So she's kind of natty.  And into everything.  But loves her little sister at least.  Even if she does throw more fits and cause a lot of mischief.
