One night last week I put the boys to bed at around 6:45.  Then I went to take the trash out and I saw this.

Jace was staring longingly at the neighbor kid next door, who is probably around 4 years old.  Who was still up and playing and jumping on his trampoline.

Poor Jace.  You'll understand someday.

Last night Jace's school had a "School Family Night" at a pumpkin patch.  It was at a farm that we've been too every year.  But it was a lot cheaper AND they were including a hotdog, chips, and a soda for everyone.  Score.  Of course we had to go.  Brice had to work late, though, so he couldn't go with us.  Which meant that little Livvy had to be ditched somewhere because I knew it might be a little crazy trying to keep track of the other two and her by myself.

Jace was, of course, running around like crazy.  Cam tried with all his might to keep up with him.

The little kids in Jace's class were so funny to watch.  When they saw each other they yelled each others' names and ran to greet each other as if they had been separated for years.  I think they were so excited to see their classmates at a place that wasn't school.  Jace hung out with a girl named Nyriah (yeah for most of the night I called her Myriah.  Whoops) Cam did his best to talk and get himself noticed but he mostly failed. But that didn't seem to bother him.

Cam yelled at me to "STOP BOTHERING ME WITH THAT CAMERA, MOM!"

He was out of luck though because Jace was moving too fast for me to get any pictures of him.  Better speed it up next time, little Cam Spam.

Jace did stay in one place long enough to paint his pumpkin, though.  And by paint I mean make a huge mess.

It was a fun night.  Then we went to pick up Livvy.  And Cameron whacked his head on a wooden door frame and got a huge knot.  And then his oncoming cold/snot/asthma attack arrived at full force this morning and he has been puking up snot and watching tv on the couch all morning.  Poor Cam. I just don't know to do about that little guy.

What a fun thing. I wish our school did that.

I'm glad to see you are out of your vacation funk and are back to the blogging world. I've missed you!! Hehe! Love you!!

One day Jace will know that was your way of showing you love him by making sure he gets the sleep he needs, right?!?! He will!

You're so brave to go without Brice, good for you! Looks like the boys had so much fun. And Cam, he is so funny! You know you had to just laugh out loud when he said that!!!! I did!!! Hope he's feeling better soon, stupid asthma junk (thanks dad!)
