Gingerbread houses

Granny and Poppy helped the kids make gingerbread houses!  Poor little Leesie slept the whole time and missed out on all the fun.  Now that she is going to nursery for the last two hours of church, she doesn't get her little nap time with Auntie Lisa during Sunday School and Relief Society.  So she is always ready to crash after church for a good long while.

The gingerbread house making consisted of lots of eating candy and licking frosting.  Granny and Poppy engineered the applying of frosting and putting together of houses, and the kids did the decorating.  And the eating.

Meeting Santa Claus

We saw Santa at a PTA event at the boys school.  Olivia was of course all about jumping up in Santa's lap.  The boys were not quite as eager, but I think they think they are getting a little old for that.  And Annalise was not too thrilled about the idea.  I put her on his lap first, which she would not tolerate.  And then she was okay standing there as long as she wasn't too close. After the group picture he kind of snuck up behind her, haha!

And also let's compare their Santa picture from last year.  They have all grown so much in one year!

Cutest sucker eater ever

She just loves sucker so much.  If she sees someone with a sucker she will scream "ucka!" like a crazy person until she gets one.  Or forget about it.  Or throws a fit because she doesn't get one and then is distracted by something else.  But look how happy she is with her sucker?  How could I never not give her one?  And look at her cute little piggies with the flyaway that are SO straight and won't stay back because they're too fine.

Oh my gosh I love this girl.

Turtles and snakes and parties oh my

Our friend Grant had a really fun birthday party at a nature reserve.  So the kids got to learn about turtles and snakes and run around like crazy people and eat gummy worms and crackers and cupcakes and basically have a blast.  We get together with these kiddos for play dates quite often, and I have NEVER seen them sit so still and quietly as they did when the turtle guy was telling them all about Poppy the turtle.  It was like a spell was cast over them or something.  Turtle guy needs to come to all our play dates, I think.
