We signed Jace up for basketball at the YMCA.  He was with a team of about ten three/four year olds, and as you can imagine, the games were entertaining and a bit humorous.  Today we went for the last game, after which Jace got a trophy.  He was very excited about that.  But still not as excited as he was about the snack they got after each game.  I'm pretty sure he was just in it for that juice box and snack.  But it was a good experience for him, I think.  At least it taught him what it means to "get in line".  Jace has never been to daycare, or preschool, or any really formal kind of thing where he has to get in line.  So on the first day of basketball, when the coach told all the kids to get in a line and they all ran and got in a line and Jace continued wandering around looking confused, I realized that he was lacking this basic essential skill.  But today on the last day when the coach told them to get in line, he knew just what to do.  So hooray for that, I guess.

Here he is, high-fiving the coach.

Taking a shot during the warm up practice they did for the first half hour.

Getting ready to execute a bounce pass (the one skill he actually picked up on)

He catches,

Prepares to shoot,

He scores!

He had a few star moments.  However. . . most of the time his playing skills looked a little more like this:

Something that I've been thinking about lately is that I'm so glad that I know what's important in this life.  I know it isn't having a fancy house and fancy cars and expensive things.  Instead, it's

this guy,

this guy,

and this guy (even though--and maybe because--he still loves Legos)

And it's also knowing that I will be with those three guys forever.  And ever, and ever, and ever.  And that makes me happy.

I'm pretty sure these three dorky brothers loved the nerf gun war more than the four year olds.  As evidenced by all their goofy faces.

So I've noticed that in the last few posts Jacey-boy hasn't made much of an appearance.  So here's a post for you, little man!  Well, not so much as for him, but rather pictures of him.  And to preface, I will tell you that I have been working on this collage thing that I want to make to put in our kitchen that I saw on Pinterest.  If I knew how to make one of those little links things to show you what I'm talking about I would do that, but since I don't, oh well.  Anyway, I've been picking the pictures that I want to use for it (taking waaaaay too long and wasting too much time probably) and I've been playing around with each picture cause I'm obsessed with editing them.  Although, as a side note, I am so sad because the website I love for editing, Picnik, is closing.  I was devastated when I heard this because I use it all the time.  Apparently, from the internet buzz (which I pathetically searched as soon as I heard the news) it's really switching to something on google+ so I'll have to sign up for that when it shuts down I guess.  But anway, here are a few of my favorite pictures of Jace that I'm using in the collage.

Jace wanted a "dot" like Uncle Seve (who, FYI, is at the MTC waiting to be shipped off to Mexico!)  And below is a picture of me and my Jacey-boy from last summer.  Finally a decent picture of me (aside from my vampire teeth--thanks, Dad, for those) with one of my kids.

So there you go.  Okay, there is one more picture.  It is my new favorite picture ever.  It does have Cameron in it, but Jace is also there.  Are you ready?

. . . wait for it. . . .

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . here it comes. . . . . . . . . . .

I came across this picture from December.  Um, like father like son?  Even their eyebrow shape is the same.  Crazy.

Hooray I finally figured out how to make a collage of pictures to use for this blog thing!!  I know, it took me long enough.  Here's Camers with his fun new jumping game.  And that's all.
