Cloudy park visit

After the boys came home from school I found that they had finished all their homework the day before.  And we didn't have anywhere to be, and I had dinner ready to go, and it wasn't too cold out, and it was really wet out, so off to the park we went.  There's a new playscape at a park near our house, so we went to check it out.  Leesie loved the slide.  She also loved screeching at the boys when they ran too close to her.  Also I love her little piggy tails.  I sometimes like to pretend she has more hair than she does.

Liv, who was tired, was really mad that she couldn't climb up the slide like the boys.  So rather than listen to her throw a fit, I allowed her to take off her socks and shoes.  In 45 degree weather.  Parent of the year.  But she stopped whining and crying and started playing, so I say it was totally worth it.  They all hate wearing shoes anyway.

And then this is Jace.  Brice and I were trying to tell him that he didn't have to screech so loud and make SO much noise.  He obviously thought what we were saying was very important and he was really listening with a humble heart.  Can't you tell?  Ha.

And then before we left I made the boys run around the path thing.  It's probably a little less than half a mile.  They went without stopping the whole way, which is what I challenged them to do.  Mostly I wanted them to freaking tire themselves out so they would stop being so crazy.  It kind of worked.  Because then we went home and they took showers and got to watch TV till dinner.  And then they read and went to bed.

Ready. . . jump!

She was just a little proud of her couch jumping antics tonight before bed.  Just a little.  Also Olivia put herself to bed again tonight.  She's had a fever, and then also she's been waking up really early.  Her fever is mostly gone and just low grade tonight, but she still escaped to her room at around 6:20 and fell asleep in her bed before I could take her potty and brush her teeth.  Poor little girl.  But that means another early morning for her, I'm sure.  That part is not my favorite.

Almost forgot

I almost forgot about these pictures.  The one below may be an all time favorite of mine.  Her face.  So funny.

Shut the gas door thing

Cameron and Liv made a new fun game.  It was called Shut the gas door thing.  That's what I called it.  They would run around the truck and one of them would open the gas thing, and then the other one would shut it, and then they would just keeping doing that.

It looked pretty fun.

But then Cam decided he wanted to ride his bike with Jace.  And Liv watched, heartbroken as they rode away down the alley.

But she gritted her teeth in true princess determination.  And came closer to me to tattle on him.  Ha.

I love her face

When she wakes up from nap she is the cutest thing ever.  She loves her blankies and she loves her passi.  And I love her kissable squishy cheeks and her big grin.

Sliding

I pulled the slide out from the basement one day.  And I meant to put it away after we were done playing, but I still haven't.  And I really need to cause I'm pretty sure the boys are gonna ruin it if I don't put it away soon.

But anyway.  The girls had fun with it!  This weekend Liv has been sick with a fever, ranging from 100 to 103.  I knew she was not feeling well when she claimed to be cold, and then wanted to lay down and take a nap.  Sure enough, she was pretty hot.  Poor girlie.  I'm sure the others will follow suit, but so far they're all doing okay.  Time will tell. . .
